Police closed off the Dartford Crossing while they helped a man in distress.

Officers were called at 6.30pm yesterday after the public reported concerns for the welfare of a man.

Southbound traffic on the M25 was diverted through the east tunnel.

It reopend at 1.45am after the man was taken to hospital to recieve specialist care.
