Delays after crash on A2 coastbound, near Darenth Interchange in Dartford, with congestion to Bexleyheath

Drivers experienced long delays this afternoon due to a crash.

Two lanes of three were closed along the A2 coastbound, from A2018 Old Bexley Lane to M25 J2 Darenth Interchange in Dartford.

There were queues of up to three miles due to the accident, which was reported at around 12.57pm.

Congestion stretched to Bexleyheath and traffic on the opposite side of the road was also slow as drivers slowed down to look.

The road was blocked for a brief time, but cars are now able to pass.

Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
