Jacob Erskine scored twice as Dartford made it nine wins from 10 games since New Year with a 3-0 cruise against in-form Farnborough in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

The hosts flew out of the blocks and could have had a penalty after just 11 seconds after a flowing team move involving Richard Graham, Erskine and Danny Harris ended with a questionable challenge from the visitors who had won five straight in the league coming into the game.

Erskine saw a header saved by keeper Craig Bradshaw from a Jon Wallis chip before a superb Lee Noble cross found Erskine who was again denied by Bradshaw, who also smothered Graham's follow-up.

Erskine eventually slotted the opening goal on 18 minutes after controlling a through-ball from Tom Champion which found him in space on the edge of the area to deservedly put the hosts ahead.

Graham blazed a shot wide after Noble had nodded an Adam Green cross back across goal before the break and the hosts remained on top after the interval.

Erskine was again denied by Bradshaw in the opening minutes of the second-half following a defence-splitting Green pass but on 52 minutes Erskine made no mistake when Graham played him in and the striker dummied around the keeper before tucking in.

A powerful header almost brought Erskine his hat-trick, with Bradshaw superbly blocking on the line, and the keeper kept another effort out before substitute Ryan Hayes blasted the rebound over in the final 10 minutes.

An acrobatic volley from Erskine was cleared off the line before Bradshaw was forced off with a hand injury in the final 10 minutes.

Tony Garrod was introduced from the bench in place of the lively Erskine, and within 15 seconds of the restart he scored the clincher with his first touch against his former club to seal the points on 88 minutes.

The win kept Darts six points behind leaders Woking - who came from behind to beat Havant and Waterlooville - but the Darts do have a game in hand.
