Dartford boss Tony Burman is aiming to hit the 40-point mark on Saturday.

The Darts have pulled 14 points clear of the drop zone in Blue Square Bet South but Burman hasn’t allowed himself to relax just yet.

Putting 40 points on the board, however, would virtually end the club’s relegation worries.

"We still need to get more points on the board," Burman (pictured) said. "I wanted to get over the 40 mark, which we are getting near to now and once we’ve done, that we’ll be aiming for 50.

"We’re not completely (safe) but our targets are looking up now and we’re concentrating on climbing over those teams above us."

Burman’s side sit in 12th place on 39 points and could move into the top 10 with a win this weekend when they travel to fellow mid-table side Basingstoke, a side they beat 1-0 last month at Princes Park.

With three straight wins and three clean sheets behind them, the Darts will be heading into that game injury free and confident of success again.

Burman said: "We’ve been on a good run since mid-January now and it helps to build the confidence and the belief.

"We’re going into games looking like we’re going to win. It’s nice to be keeping clean sheets and at the minute they are coming along fast and furious. If we can keep it 0-0, then we’ve always got a chance."
