Painful memories of last season’s FA Trophy exit will spur Dartford on as they look to secure a quarter-final berth this weekend.

Local rivals Bromley stand between the Darts and the last eight of non-league football’s premier knockout competition. A home tie against lower-league opposition represents a kind draw for Tony Burman’s side.

But the Dartford manager (pictured) is mindful of last season’s third round fixture against Wealdstone, when the Ryman League Premier Division side earned a draw at Princes Park before winning the replay 1-0.

Burman said: "We had a good opportunity last year to get into the last eight and we lost to Wealdstone. We’ll keep reminding the players regarding that.

"We’re looking forward to it. Two clubs are going to get to Wembley and it’s not always the best clubs in the country."

Dominic Green should make his Dartford debut at Princes Park after signing on loan from League 2 Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday.

Burman was without Tom Bonner, Lee Noble and Danny Harris for last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at Alfreton. Although the trio could all return against Bromley, Burman has fresh injury concerns over two of his key players.

Striker Jacob Erskine was substituted with a groin injury after 16 minutes and skipper Elliot Bradbrook hobbled off with a knee injury late on. Both are rated 50-50 to be fit in time for Saturday.
