Dartford striker Charlie Sheringham has been named Blue Square Bet South player of the month for September.

Sheringham (pictured) has enjoyed an impressive start to the season and took his tally for the campaign to 11 goals with five coming in the last month.

He has helped the Darts keep pace with Woking at the top of the table and continued the fine form he showed at the end of last season, having initially struggled to settle at Princes Park.

Sheringham, who has also played for Welling at the same level, has attracted the attentions of several scouts this season already and Darts boss Tony Burman believes he could be the next player to leave the club and move into the Football League.
