Emergency services called to motorbike crash on the A2 near Bexley and Dartford

The A2 was temporarily shut near Dartford Heath following a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Traffic was held coastbound while emergency services attended the incident between Bexley and Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange just before 4.30pm on Sunday (July 28).

Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the motorcyclist was treated for injuries, before being taken to Kings College Hospital for medical treatment.

It is understood the injuries are not life-threatening.

National Highways said the collision had cleared as of 6.20pm yesterday.
