Traffic has been heavy in two parts of the M25 in Kent tonight.

Queuing traffic on the anti-clockwise carriageway at the Dartford Tunnel was at one stage backed up for around two miles to the A2.

The Darenth Interchange at junction 2 was also said to be very slow and has been backed up for a hours towards the tunnels.

Normal traffic was expected from 7.15pm but officials say delays of around 15 minutes are expected.

More delays have been reported on the clockwise carriageway near the Clacket Lane services following a broken down vehicle earlier this afternoon just after junction 5.

The vehicle has been cleared and traffic is said to have returned to normal.
