The fifth demolition at the Thames's last remaining power station will take place tonight.

Dartford residents can expect to hear a short bang at midnight on Thursday, August 29, as demolition experts Brown and Mason bring down another part of Littlebrook Power Station.

It's the fifth demolition at the station and the project is expected to be completed in 2020.

This time Brown and Mason are bringing down the power station's boiler house and ancillary structures.

The timing of the event will coincide with a short rolling roadblock on the QEII Bridge, so as not to distract drivers crossing the bridge.

An exclusion zone will also be put in place before, during and after the explosion and the demolition is expected to be over within 10 seconds.
