A late rally wasn't enough as Charlton lost at Derby County on Tuesday night.

Goals from Danny Green, pictured, and Yann Kermogant in the space of three minutes gave Derby a fright as the Addicks battled back from 3-0 down.

And Chris Powell's men almost avoided a third straight Championship defeat when Salim Kerkar's injury-time header was cleared off the line.

Jamie Ward's volley gave County a seventh-minute lead and Craig Bryson made it two on 53.

Ward added his second from the penalty spot 10 minutes later after a foul by Green.

Addicks midfielder Green launched the revival with a 30-yard screamer on 70 before crossing for Kermogant, who finished from close range.

Charlton visit Ipswich on Saturday.
