Collision on A2 London bound has blocked M25 slip road towards Dartford

A driver has been taken to hospital after a collision on the A2 between Bean and Darenth.

The accident has blocked the exit slip to the fastlink to the M25 towards Dartford.

Police said they were called at 8.50am following a road traffic collision on the A2 London-bound close to the M25 sliproad, involving three vehicles.

Spokesman Charlotte North said: "Officers attended, alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service and one of the drivers was taken by ambulance to hospital. The road was cleared by 10am."

There were delays of over 30 minutes on the approach to the A2 incident with congestion back to the Gravesend junction.

Highways England stated on Twitter: "All vehicles have been cleared to the hardshoulder and all lanes are now running .Thank you for your patience whilst we dealt with this incident"
