Gravesend and Swanscombe men arrested in Dartford with nitrous oxide cannisters

Two men have been arrested after police seized nitrous oxide cannisters from a car they were in.

Officers on patrol in Dartford on Thursday, May 14, asked a vehicle to pull over after the occupants appeared to try to leave the area when they spotted them.

The vehicle was later stopped in St Margaret's Road, Darenth, before being searched.

While looking in the car officers found a number of nitrous oxide cannisters along with balloons and a tool to break glass, as well as a large quantity of cash.

A 20-year-old man from Swanscombe and a 24-year-old man from Gravesend were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

They have since been released under investigation, pending further inquiries.
