Emergency services called to Dartford railway station after reports of casualty on the tracks

A large emergency service presence was spotted at a Kent railway station after reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Kent Police and the British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the site in Station Approach, Dartford, alongside the fire service and ambulance service at around 11am.

The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries which aren’t being described as life changing or threatening.

A BTP spokesman added: “The incident is not thought to be suspicious.”

A police spokesman explained: “Kent Police officers attended Dartford Railway Station at around 11.17am on Tuesday where they assisted constables from the British Transport Police.”

The fire service and ambulance service were approached for more information.
