Large queues have formed after a slip road leading onto the M25 was closed for emergency work.

The London-bound route leading onto the Swanley Interchange, near Dartford, from junction 1 of the M20 has been sealed off since this afternoon.

Traffic was being diverted via J3 roundabout to access the M25, which caused congestion on all approaches to the Swanley Interchange.

Highways England confirmed the slip road reopened at around 8.15pm.
