Coronavirus Kent: Five-year-old dies at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, after catching Covid-19

A five-year-old died from Covid-19 at a Kent hospital.

Europe's youngest victim of coronavirus is believed to have passed away at Darent Valley, Dartford, earlier this month.

Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford

The Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, has not yet released any details.

It is not known at this stage whether they were a boy or girl

A total of 331 have so far died with coronavirus in Kent.

The death of a five-year-old boy with pre-existing health conditions was reported by NHS England on April 4 but it is not known if the death which happened at Darent Valley is the same victim.

Darent Valley has recorded 47 deaths and discharged more than 400 of Kent's 750 recovered patients.
