Firefighters were called out to rescue a pet cat stuck in a narrow gap between two brick walls.

The drama took place at a home in Longmarsh View in Sutton at Hone, Dartford.

An RSPCA officer had already tried to free the terrified cat from the six inch gap but was unable to reach it.

Firefighters used small tools to remove a few bricks to get the cat out, which was checked over by the RSPCA and handed back to the owner unharmed.
