Six fire engines were called to a blaze which broke out at a garden centre in Dartford.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived at Hawley Garden Centre just before 11.15am where a number of timber buildings and building supplies were alight.
A spokesman for the store confirmed it happened in an outside area of the site but were unable to comment further.
Crews used jets, hose reels and compressed air foam to bring the fire under control.
At its height, six fire engines were in attendance at the business, in Hawley Road, but this has now been reduced to three.
The police and electrical safety engineers from UK Power Networks were also called.
The cause is not yet known and nobody has been injured.
An eyewitness said it looked like the fire spread from a skip to some garden buildings on display at the garden centre.
