Motorists have been told to expect difficult driving conditions as a blanket of fog hits parts of Kent.

A Met Office yellow warning is in place, covering Dartford, Gravesend and parts of Medway.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for parts of Kent.

Officers say fog will form quickly and may be slow to clear throughout the day.

Drivers have been informed they can expect slower journey times on the roads.

There may also be delays to bus and train services.

The warning states: "Fog is likely to be dense in places with visibility less than 100 metres, which may lead to some travel disruption and slower journey times.

"Fog will clear in the south and west of the area during Wednesday morning, but may persist until early afternoon in the north and east."
