Swanscombe money laundering investigation leads to discovery of gold coins worth £64k

Gold coins worth more than £60,000 have been seized following a money laundering investigation.

Police made the discovery during a planned search at an address in Ackers Drive in Ebbsfleet Valley, Swanscombe at around 7am today.

The high-valued currency, which is estimated to be worth about £64,000, was found during a search as part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering, which is being led by detectives from Kent Police’s economic crime team.

A woman, aged 27, was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
