Several arrests have been made and various machetes recovered following a police vehicle stop and searches near Dartford.

Officers located and pulled over four vehicles linked to a disturbance in Stone.

Inside they reportedly found several large blades.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of the possession of offensive weapons.

A man was also arrested on warrant for a suspected burglary.

A police spokesman added: "Those arrested have been released under investigation pending further enquiries."

The action, which happened yesterday, formed part of a joint operation between local and proactive targeting teams.
