One lucky entrepreneur was left stunned after Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher backed his mobile app with a massive donation.
Joshua Ogunnote, from Dartford, was given $18,000 by the famous actor at a London event last Thursday.
Mr Kutcher was opening the UK finals of the Creator Awards when he invited members of the audience onto the stage to pitch their ideas and possibly win some prize money.
One of these winners was Mr Ogunnote who carried out an unrehearsed 60-second pitch, in front of thousands, on his business CHUNE - a mobile app to connect the world through music.
After impressing the famous actor and entrepreneur he was one of 10 people who walked away with thousands. Mr Ogunnote said: “The fact I got this investment, I can no longer doubt myself.
“I was nervous, but I took the opportunity when it came. I’m excited to see what happens next.”
Other lucky winners took home a range of cash prizes from $360,000 to $72,000. The Two and a Half Men star is a businessman, and is reported to have made millions from some of his own investments.
