Firefighters evacuated two houses as a shed fire threatened to spread to nearby buildings.

Crews were called to Knockahll Road in Greenhithe at around 1.30pm after a shed caught alight.

The fire then spread to nearby fence and another shed, before firefighters took the decision to clear people out of two nearby houses.

No one was hurt in the incident and fire crews had the blaze under control within an hour.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

One shed was destroyed by fire.
