Long delays have cleared on the M25 following an earlier crash involving a lorry and two cars.
All traffic was temporarily held on the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junction 3 at Swanley and Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange.
The incident was first reported shortly after 6.30pm.
Traffic has since been released but long delays of up to an hour remained shortly after with National Highways reporting atleast four miles of congestion back past junction 3.
There were also reports of delays on the A2 coastbound near Junction 2.
In a further update issued shortly after 8.30pm, National Highways posted: All lanes are now open on the M25 anti-clockwise between J3 Swanley and J2 Darenth following an earlier collision.
“Traffic is now flowing freely with no delays. Thank you for your patience.”
