An inspirational teenager, who has helped raised more than £300,000 for charity, has been presented with an award by Prince William and Prince Harry.

Jonjo Heuerman, from Wilmington, near Dartford, received a Legacy Award in The Diana Awards at the ceremony at St James's Palace in London this morning.

The awards, set up in memory of Princess Diana, celebrate young people's achievements and her belief in their power to change the world for the better.

West Ham fan, Jonjo, was also inspired to take up the challenges by his football hero, Bobby Moore, England's World Cup winning captain and Hammers legend.

He also became the youngest ever recipient of the British Empire Medal when he received it last year in the Queen's New Year Honours List, aged 13.

He was given the Legacy Award by the princes.

All the winners - from the UK, USA, Canada, India, Belize and the UAE - have made a monumental impact on society.

As well as receiving the award, Jonjo will receive help from the Diana Award programme to help boost his leadership, community, development, social entrepreneurship and technology.

In the year marking the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death, the award scheme is launching a commemorative website celebrating Princess Diana’s legacy.
