Man accused of stealing £80,000 worth of jewellery in Dartford and Swanley is charged

A man accused of stealing £80,000 worth of jewellery has been charged.

Michael Maloney, of Hovefields Avenue, Wickford, appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today, where he faced five charges of burglary relating to incidents in Dartford and Swanley.

The 23-year-old, who was arrested yesterday morning, is alleged to have committed the offences between February 2017 and April 2019.

He was charged with burgling homes Mitchell Close, Lonsdale Crescent, Laburnum Avenue and Clarendon Gardens, all in Dartford.

A fifth charge related to a burglary at a house in St Mary's Road, Swanley.
