Delays have cleared after an earlier accident on the A2 blocked two lanes, causing traffic chaos throughout the morning commute.

The crash at about 5.30am, along with flooding, on the A2 by the Black Prince Interchange in Bexley sparked congestion all the way back past the M25 to Bluewater.

There were long delays on both sides, with reports of congestion back to the Danson Interchange and queues into London.

Traffic was also heavy traffic through Bexley and Bexleyheath, either side of the accident.

Delays had cleared by 10am.
