Britain's most successful Winter Olympian, Lizzy Yarnold, picked up her OBE this morning.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist, from West Kingsdown, received the honour, after being awarded in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
It comes as the 29-year-old announced her retirement from the sport, eight months after retaining her title in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The former Maidstone Grammar School for Girls head girl was presented the medal by Princess Anne, having previously been honoured with an MBE in 2014..
Lizzy is the most decorated Winter Olympian, securing five gold medals, one silver and two bronzes in her career and is currently the reigning World Champion.
OBEs are given to individuals for work they do for local businesses, and work for the public sector of charities.
