Delays on M25 at Dartford Crossing following accident

Drivers have been enduring delays of up to 45 minutes on the M25 at the Dartford Crossing this afternoon.

Already long queues and very slow traffic on the anticlockwise section from the tunnel to Junction 3 for Swanley were exacerbated by an accident on the exit slip-road at the Swanley Interchange.

The slip-road was fully closed shortly after 3pm but one lane had been reopened by 4.40pm.

Congestion was back to Junction 2 for the A2 Darenth Interchange, but had cleared by 5.45pm.
