Drivers are facing long delays on the M25 and A282 due to a broken down vehicle in the Dartford Tunnel.

Police have closed the eastbound tunnel - diverting all traffic through the other.

The closure has sparked long tailbacks on the approach.

Highways officials are hoping to get the route back running smoothly as soon as possible.

But National Highways is also set to enforce a full overnight closure of the same tunnel, the eastbound tunnel, from 10pm tonight.

It is due to reopen at 5.30am tomorrow.
