There are long queues at the Dartford Crossing as a tunnel has closed for emergency maintenance.

Two lanes are shut on the anticlockwise M25 from Junction 1A for Dartford to Junction 31 for Lakeside leading up to the crossing.

The lanes have been shut as part of planned work in the east-bore tunnel tonight.

National Highways says the closure will remain in place until 5am.

The west-bore tunnel and the QEII Bridge remain open as usual.

It means no vehicles taller than 4.8 metres high can use the crossing during the closure.
