There are long delays stretching back into Kent after a lorry shed three rolls of sheet metal on the M25 in Essex.

Three lanes of the motorway are closed and drivers are experiencing delays of up to 90 minutes after the accident, which happened on the anticlockwise carriageway before Junction 28 at Brentwood.

Sheet metal from the lorry weighing 28 tonnes has spread across lanes three and four of the motorway and drivers are using lane on to pass.

Highways officers are attempting to clear the rolls, and traffic is queuing back towards Gravesend.

Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
