People across the county are getting ready to stick the kettle on for a good cause tomorrow in aid of cancer support charity Macmillan.
Marks and Spencer food stores are urging customers to 'raise a mug' to celebrate the charities' work or the life of a loved one.
M&S Bluewater in Dartford has erected a Wall of Support to encourage customers and colleagues to share their messages of support.
Mug message notes will be available to purchase from check-outs for £1 and the store is inviting customers to join them for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
Delectable delicacies such as chocolate eclairs, strawberry tarts and jam and cream horns will all be on sale, as well as limited edition mugs with ten per cent of sales from each product donated directly to the charity.
The event forms part of Macmillan's 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' which will be taking place in various venues across the county.
Ben Spearpoint, store manager at M&S Bluewater, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating ten years of partnership with Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and look forward to seeing thousands of people across south east coming together once again to join us in stores to support Macmillan’s Coffee Morning this year.
"The addition of the Wall of Support for 2019 is another fantastic way for the community to get involved, show their support and share their stories.
“With the number of people living with cancer constantly growing, widespread support has never been more important.
"Macmillan professionals are a lifeline for many patients and their families; giving crucial emotional support, helping manage treatment side effects and sharing practical advice like diet and lifestyle tips.”
Macmillan fundraising activity is taking place in stores across the region including M&S Tunbridge Wells, M&S Hempstead Valley, M&S Canterbury, M&S Ashford and M&S Westwood Cross, among others.
