Gravesend man charged in Dartford stabbing investigation

A man has been charged in connection with a town centre stabbing.

Police were called to Lowfield Street in Dartford following reports of a serious assault at about 6pm.

Hinzague Hanson, of Zion Place, Gravesend has today been charged with wounding with intent after he was arrested on Sunday evening becoming the fourth person arrested in relation to the incident.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from Erith, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

He remains in hospital under arrest and is in a stable condition, police said this afternoon.

A man was stabbed after two people started fighting after getting out of a Nissan Qasqai which had collided with roadside furniture on Saturday at around 6pm.

Police used a Taser to restrain a man during the fracas which followed and two police officers were reportedly assaulted. No charges have been made in connection with any of those offences.

Hanson, 21, was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on July 20.

He was further remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on August 17.

Two other men, aged 39 and 26, were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Both have been released on bail pending further inquiries until August 11 and 13 respectively.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and urging anyone with information yet to speak to officers to come forward.
