Police are investigating the cause of a blaze which destroyed a caravan and left a man in his fifties suffering from burns.

Fire crews were called to Church Road in Swanley at just before 4am today, after reports came in of a caravan fire.

The blaze destroyed the caravan and the man suffered from burns and the effects of breathing in smoke.

Two fire engines and ambulance crews attended, and the man was looked after by paramedics.
