Man charged with possesion of offensive weapons after armed police called to St Vincents Road, Dartford

A man has been charged in connection with an incident which saw a large armed police response.

Officers were called to St Vincents Road in Dartford last Friday (July 14).

They arrested two men at the scene just before 3pm.

Angelo O’Riordan, 18, of no fixed address, has since been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a knife, possession of an offensive weapon (a hammer) and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

He was remanded in custody by Medway magistrates on Monday (July 17) and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on August 14

Police said a second man, aged 34, was released on bail pending further enquiries.
