Sean Chambers from Greenwich charged with theft after Swanley Asda targeted

A man has been charged with theft after allegedly stealing from an Asda store.

Officers have been investigating allegations that on two separate occasions a man and woman have entered the store in London Road, Swanley, and stolen items including bottled of spirits.

The most recent incident was reported to police on Wednesday, June 26, at around 12.10am, when it was claimed a woman threatened staff with 'dirty needles'.

Following a media appeal, Sean Chambers was identified and arrested on Thursday, July 4.

Chambers, 39, of Azof Street, Greenwich, has now been charged with theft.

He was bailed to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 30.
