Anthony Russell, 18, charged with violent burglary in Farningham near Dartford

A man remains in hospital one week on from a violent raid on a home, as a second man is charged by police.

Anthony Russell, 18, of Seaforth Grove, Southend on Sea, has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent.

Spokesman for Kent Police, Andy Saunders, said: "Kent Police was called at 10pm on June 7 to reports of an altercation at a private address off Maplescombe Lane, Farningham.

"Officers attended and five people were arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary."

Russell will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, July 6, having been bailed from Medway Magistrates' Court over the weekend.

Three other men aged 22, 26 and 57, have all been bailed pending further enquiries until Monday, July 2.

A fifth man, who was located by the National Police Air Service near the scene, remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
