Man dies after two-car crash in Main Road, Longfield

A man in his 70s has died after his car hit a telegraph pole.

He was injured after a beige Toyota RAV4 and a grey Nissan Qashqai collided just after 12.20pm yesterday (Thursday).

The incident happened in Main Road, Longfield, at its the junction at Nurstead Lane and, following the collision, the Toyota struck a telegraph pole.

The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The other driver was unhurt.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to contact the them.

They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist their investigation.
