Man arrested in Dartford was carrying snooker ball in a sock

A man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage, possession of drugs and assaulting police on Saturday morning.

The arrested man was also said to have been in possession of a snooker ball in a sock, and was detained by police in Dartford.
They tweeted: "Team 5 are on and already we have one male in custody who had a snooker ball in a sock on him, criminal damage, possession of class B, and assault police.

"Reviewing body warn video officers have dealt with a very difficult male who has some tough questions to answer later."

Police said Sam Walker, 19, of St John's Road in Whitstable has been charged with criminal damage, possession of cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assault of an emergency worker.

He was arrested in Highfield Road, Dartford, at around 7.30am after officers were called to the area following a report of criminal damage to a vehicle.

Mr Walker has been released on bail to appear at Medway Magistrate's Court on Tuesday July 9.
