A man had to be rescued from a van after a collision in Dartford.

Firefighters were called to Gorse Hill at around 5.17pm after a head on collision involving a car and a van.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut and spread parts of the vehicle to create space in order to rescue an injured man that had been trapped inside the van.

The casualty was left in the care of paramedics. The air ambulance was also called.
