Police appeal after man robbed on train between Dartford and Slade Green

A train robber is being hunted by police after threatening a victim with a gun and demanding his phone.

Officers have released CCTV images calling for witnesses after the incident between Dartford and Slade Green.

An investigation was launched by British Transport Police after it is believed the robber used an imitation gun during the incident.

A man was sitting on the train at 3.11pm on September 29 with a group of friends when another man approached them in the carriage while at Dartford station.

He asked if any of them smoked before leaving the carriage.

Moments later, the man returned and demanded the victim handed over his phone and pointed the suspected weapon at him.

He took the victim's phone and then got off the train at Slade Green.

Detectives have appealed for anyone to come forward who might recognise the man in the images as they believe he has information to help the investigation.
