Manhunt after Kent Police officer assaulted in street in Swanscombe, near Dartford

Police are hunting a man who assaulted an officer and ran away while being detained.

Darren Dixon had been arrested in Swanscombe, near Dartford, on Saturday morning after police responded to reports a woman had been assaulted.

At about 11.10am, Dixon assaulted the officer and fled while he was being detained in the Swanscombe Street area of the village.

He is believed to have links to the Dartford and south London areas – and is now wanted for assault and escaping lawful custody.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should urgently call 999 quoting Most Wanted and reference 19-536.
