Police detain 17 migrants near Sainsbury's depot in Littlebrook Manor Way, Dartford

Seventeen migrants were detained by police in Dartford yesterday after they were found in the back of a lorry travelling to a supermarket warehouse.

Police were called to a lorry near the Sainsbury's depot in Littlebrook Manor Way just before 10am. It's believed to have travelled to Dartford from Spain.

A witness said the group were checked over by ambulance crews before they left the area in police vans.

A police spokeswoman said the detainees were being dealt with by the Home Office. The Home Office has yet to respond.
