New pictures of plans for the multi-billion pound London Resort theme park have been released.
The artwork from the company behind the project has revealed there will be six 'lands' created during the first phase of work at the site on the Swanscombe Peninsula
It comes as the resort has agreed partnerships with BBC, ITV Studios, EDF and Paramount Pictures within the last year.
The names of the six lands being created, as well as a High Street, are Starport, The Jungle, The Isles, The Kingdom, The Woods and The Studio.
The High Street will be full of shops, restaurants, hotels and a waterpark for visitors, while The Studios is described as "a gritty, modern-day ware house which practically roars with exhilarating thrills of big, blockbuster features".
Plans for The Woods include an "enchanted realm" where youngsters can "step through the pages of a storybook".
From here they can visit The Kingdom which will include swords, sorcery and dragons. Next, The Isles, is described as a "land of creatures, mythical beasts and adventures with fantastic jaw-dropping architecture".
Finally, The Jungle and The Starport will have a mixture of two worlds, where the former will have an overgrown, ancient tree-top design, while the later will a 23rd century landing zone which will "launch visitors into thrilling sci-fi adventures".
Chief executive of London Resort Holdings Company, PY Gerbeau, outlined the three guidelines needed when working on these attractions.
He said: "We are creating a first-class theme park. A destination that maximises all the new, immersive and interactive technologies and experiences in the world."
“But we won’t just be creating a world class leisure destination, it will also be one of the most sustainable theme parks on the planet.”
“We have three guidelines we work to when it comes to developing attractions.
“Number one is innovation. We’re not here to copy what’s been done before even if it has been successful. Number two is relevance. We need to consider that the customers of today will not be the customers of 2024. And the third is flexibility. We need to create a park that can evolve and adapt easily.”
The London Resort will "eventually be a two-park resort" with hopes of opening the first park in 2024, followed by the second in 2029.
Earlier this year KentOnline revealed £70 million has been spent on the park to date without any signs of works starting.
The project would rival Disneyland Paris in scale, would also see a number of hotels - among them a Radisson Blu, following an agreement signed in August.
