Two men arrested on immigration offences after police storm Golden Star Chinese takeaway in Dartford

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences after police stormed a Chinese takeaway.

Officers from Dartford's Community Policing Team went to restaurant in The Brent after receiving reports of poor living conditions.

They worked alongside the council to carry out checks with immigration, and one suspect had been outstanding since 2011.

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "At 5.45pm on Thursday June 6, officers attended a business premises in Dartford.

"Two men aged 55 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences and have since been referred to the Home Office."
