Kent Police have linked the death of five rabbits to the M25 Cat Killer.

The force was called out last Tuesday to a car park near Queens Gardens, Dartford, where the deceased animals were found.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “The Metropolitan Police was made aware of the incident as the animals’ injuries resembled those seen within incidents under Operation Takahe.

“A local animal charity was also made aware.”

Operation Takahe is the code name for the force's investigation into the infamous M25 or Croydon Cat Killer.

More than 250 cats are believed to have been killed and mutilated by the suspect, whose crimes began in 2014 in Croydon but have since spread to other areas around the M25.
