Enquiries are still ongoing into a man who is wanted by police on suspicion of theft.

Around six police cars, the police helicopter and dog unit were dispatched to search the area around Farm Avenue and Cherry Avenue, Swanley, this afternoon.

Contact has now been made with the man and the search has been called off.

A police spokesman confirmed that the man is not wanted in connection with a crime committed today, but is wanted in relation to a "historic" crime.
