Police are renewing their appeal for information after a 10-year-old girl died as a result of being hit by a car.

Witnesses are being urged to come forward after the incident in Dartford on Saturday evening.

Local people gathered in Watling Street, Dartford, following the crash

Officers were called at 6.50pm to Watling Street near the junction with Meadow Way and the girl, who was walking on the street before the incident, was taken to hospital in London with critical injuries.

But police have now confirmed she died last night.

Serious collision investigators are now stepping up their appeal for people who saw the incident or may have important dashcam or video footage to come forward.
