An amazing mix of colour, visuals and songs that make you want to get up and dance has come to Dartford.

Peter Pan is The Orchard Theatre's answer to starting Christmas early.

Peter Pan panto stars from left to right: Andy Ford, Steve Mcfadden, Keisha Atwell, Joe Sleight. (17778014)

Starring EastEnders Steve McFadden as the one and only Hook, Joe Sleight as Peter Pan and Andy Ford as loveable shipmate Mr Smee, the panto is great fun for all the family.

The cast's glittering costumes were a wonderful addition to the sensory overloads of the incredible 3D set design and flickeringly festive lights.

Adaptations of hit songs really modernised the classic fairy tale, with effortless dancers making myself and the audience want nothing more than to sing and clap along with them.

Steve McFadden and Andy Ford had a brilliant on stage relationship, with their joint scenes leaving me in fits of laughter.

Andy Ford also had an amazing connection to the audience, reaching out to kids with silly noises and actions, with a few adult jokes slipping past them, much to the older viewers' amusement.

Peter Pan and Captain Hook do battle with Bill the Croc (17778022)

Peter Pan's ability to fly across the stage, with Tinkerbell following gracefully behind him, was truly beautiful. You really do feel like you're just moments away from Neverland.

The dancing was mesmerizing and really captured all of the different personalities of the characters throughout the show.

The Orchard Theatre itself is a wonderful place for such an enchanting performance.

The modern interior, festive decorations and smiling staff really added to the magic of the performance.

Be prepared to be literally blown away with the intense special effects of explosions and Hook's worst nightmare, the enormous pirate-eating crocodile.

Peter Pan is at the Orchard Theatre until Sunday, January, 5 (24666776)
