Traffic queuing along A226 The Brent in Dartford following crash involving pedestrian

A busy town centre road was blocked as emergency services dealt with a crash involving a pedestrian.
The incident happened near to East Hill Cemetery and Brent Methodist Church in Dartford around 4.30pm.
A female pedestrian was reported to have been hit by a car. The woman was taken to hospital and later discharged.
It left the A226 The Brent partially blocked in both directions, from A296 Park Road to B2500 Watling Street.
It is understood the crash also affected Southeastern's replacement bus service, which is running between Dartford and Gravesend.
The service was delayed and buses are unable to stop at Stone Crossing in Greenhithe due to the diversion in place while emergency services deal with he incident.
Southeastern tweeted: "Replacement buses between Dartford and Gravesend are being delayed by a police road closure on part of the route.
"As a result of the diversion the buses are currently unable to stop at Stone Crossing."
Police spokesman Sally Smith said: "Kent Police was called to The Brent, Dartford at 4.33pm on Sunday, December 6 following a report of a road traffic collision.
"A female pedestrian was reported to have been in collision with a car.
"The woman was taken to hospital and later discharged."
